This is a fantastic idea, and one that every area needs to look into adopting. Fewer kids playing right now means fewer golfers to support the game in thirty years. Personally, I grew up working at a private club to get playing privileges. If I hadn’t done that, there’s no way I could have grown up playing like I did. I was very, very lucky to have the opportunity to do so. Kids should have an easier time of it than they do right now, and parents should be able to afford it.
