This is something I can definitely get behind.  $30 for greensfees, cart and range balls, Monday – Wednesday for active military personal, police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians with valid identification.

The club I grew up working at gave local police and fire fighters free play on Mondays (course closed, staff play day).  And the place never burned down, nor was it broken into.  I suppose if they’d given privileges to active military, it wouldn’t have been invaded by foreign armies nearly as frequently.

OK, if I read this one correctly, Independence will let you start on #10 for the first two hours of times on Saturdays and Sundays.  And if you’re willing to flip the nines and end on a middle-iron par 3, they’ll give you a biscuit sandwich.  Might as well get a free breakfast.

The 200 round package is a great deal, but it’s a lot of golf, and $12,000 is a whole lot of money. You’d need to get an awfully big group together to make this work. The 25 round block is more realistic, and even if you are a VSGA member, you’re still paying $79/round for the bulk of the year (see below).
