Independence is at it again with their 2010 annual pass program. I've tried committing all my golf to a single course, and I wound up with a huge case of buyer's remorse. 14 day advance tee times are nice, but $20 cart fees are a bit much in my opinion. The adult pass is $2,500. That's 50 rounds (50 walking rounds) to get yourself to $50/round. Good on you if you get to play once a week like that. Maybe some day...

Back in 1998, I used to ride by what is now Providence Golf Club every day on my way to work, thinking "Man what a waste of land this is. Someone should put a golf course on it." I had no idea that this was the old Pocoshock Golf Course, or that it would be reopened as Providence.

Lester George did a great job on the redesign, getting every bit of his moneys-worth out of the land he was given. While not the longest course in the world, Providence provides enough variety to keep players coming back week after week.
